Even though you may not feel it, the pregnancy glow is real, and I bet everyone around you sees it better than you do. Let's capture all the beauty that you might not be seeing. As your body is growing another human, pregnancy seems to last forever. Before you know it, that wonderful belly you've been talking to will have been replaced with a new little love in your arms. Choosing Milestones Portraits for your maternity photography ensures that you capture the essence of this special time with elegance and professionalism. Amy specializes in creating timeless images that celebrate your journey to parenthood. This photo session typically last 1 hour, you can add more time if needed. It will also include your significant other. Please contact us if you would like to include more people or pets. All images retouched. Images delivered via digital download with print release.

This is our process:
I. Book the date.
To book your date please CONNECT WITH US. We can book your session via emails. You will receive a questionnaire to fill out once a date, time, and location is agreed upon. We do not have a session fee. Our fee is all inclusive.
We travel within 15 miles of The Village in Meridian without a travel fee. Please note: All sessions are on location. We do not have a studio at this time. The best time of day is the hour before sunset. In the Boise area this time changes drastically throughout the year.
II. Take photos.
Maternity Portraits are best between 32-36 weeks. For examples of what to wear to your photo session, please see Maternity Session Tips. Most maternity sessions are up to one hour in duration. We do have a client closet of maternity gowns to choose from at no extra cost.
III. Deliver memories.
Expect to receive your image gallery via digital download with a print release within 2 weeks. This gallery is password protected. You will receive an invoice to be paid prior to your gallery being sent to you.
When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
The best time is usually between 28–34 weeks. At this stage, your bump is beautifully round, but you’re still comfortable enough to move and pose with ease.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks ahead to make sure you get your preferred date, especially during busy seasons.
Where do maternity sessions usually take place? Do you help with location ideas?
Yes! Sessions can be held outdoors or at your home if you’d like a cozy, intimate feel. I’ll help you choose a location that matches your style and comfort.
Can my partner or children be included in the session?
Absolutely! Partners, kids, and even pets are welcome. This is such a special family moment, and I love including the people who are most important to you. More than 4 subjects will have an additional fee.
What should I wear for my maternity photos?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. Flowing dresses and fitted gowns photograph beautifully, but I’ll also guide you on outfits that flatter your bump.
Do you provide maternity gowns or wardrobe options?
Yes! We have a small selection of gowns you’re welcome to use, or you can wear your own favorite outfits.
I hear you offer hair and makeup services.
The Vanity has joined Milestones Studios, LLC. Jacey is a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Idaho only. She is here for all of your event beauty. We do have a bundling discount to save you money when you book more than one service with us. Contact us for more information.
Can I bring personal items (like ultrasound photos, baby shoes, or keepsakes)?
Of course! Those little details make your session uniquely yours, and they’re beautiful ways to tell your story.
Do I get digital images?
Yes, we are providing the digital images with a print release at this time.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You can order prints and other items through me, however I will give you a print release for images up to an 8x10.
How long do I have access to my images?
As soon as you receive a link, please download your images and the print release. We can only store images 3-4 months.
Can I get the RAW images?
We do not provide RAW files. A RAW file is essentially the untouched data straight from the camera sensor. It is a digital negative. It hasn’t had any color adjustments, lighting corrections, or artistic enhancements applied—meaning it doesn’t yet reflect the quality, emotion, and timeless style that Milestones Studios is known for.
How long does a maternity session last?
Our sessions are about one hour. You can add more time if you would like to.
Do you pose me, or do I need to know what to do?
Don’t worry — I’ll guide you the whole time with simple prompts and poses that highlight your natural beauty. No modeling experience required!
How long does it take to receive my photos?
It can take about two weeks for your digital gallery to be complete.
Do you retouch/edit (stretch marks, blemishes, etc.)?
Yes! I do natural retouching — things like smoothing skin, evening tones, and removing small blemishes — while keeping your photos authentic and true-to-life.
How many photos will I get to choose from?
Your gallery typically includes 30-50 final images
What happens if I need to reschedule (due to health or weather)?
I completely understand that pregnancy can be unpredictable. If you’re not feeling well, or if weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.
Preserve Your Memories — Download, Back Up, and Print Your Images
Your wedding and portrait photos are more than digital files; they’re memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Once your gallery is delivered, please remember to download and safely back up all of your images. We recommend:
- Saving your gallery to at least two different locations, such as your computer and a thumb drive or external hard drive.
- Storing a copy in cloud storage for added protection.
Technology changes quickly, and devices can fail, having multiple backups ensures your memories are safe for years to come.
And don’t let your favorite photos live on a screen! Printing your images brings them to life in a way digital files never can. We offer professional quality prints and heirloom albums that preserve your story beautifully and stand the test of time. More information can be found here.
Your story deserves to be seen, held, and shared - not just stored. We charge a fee of $50 to resend your photos, if we still have the images.
