Did you know that the United States is the only country that actually does "senior pictures" like we do? They've definitely become a really fun rite of passage for students earning their diplomas or degrees! Whether you are graduating from high school or college, it is quite the accomplishment and deserves to be commemorated! Choosing Milestones Portraits for your graduation photos ensures you capture this significant moment with professional quality and a personal touch. Amy specializes in creating memorable, high-quality images that celebrate your achievements and reflect your individual style. This photo session typically last 1 hour at one location, you can add more time if needed. All portraits are retouched.

This is our process:
I. Book the date.
To book your date please CONNECT WITH US. We can book your session via emails. You will receive a questionnaire to fill out once a date, time, and location is agreed upon. We do not have a session fee. Our fee is all inclusive and is collected on the day of the photo session.
We travel within 15 miles of The Village in Meridian without a travel fee. Please note: All sessions are on location. We do not have a studio at this time. The best time of day is the hour before sunset. In the Boise area this time changes drastically throughout the year.
II. Take photos.
During the booking process you will have decided when and where you would like to have your photos. Standard senior sessions are typically up to one hour in duration. at one location. For instance, one location can be downtown Boise. Any place that is walkable, is considered one location. We can walk from the Capitol building to freak alley, so that is one location. You can change your outfit within the one-hour timeframe. More time can be purchase in 15 increments at $60. Examples of what to wear to your photo session, please see Senior Session Tips.
III. Deliver memories.
Expect to receive your image gallery via digital download with a print release within 2 weeks. This gallery is password protected and you must always enter the gallery as the client. If you have not already paid, you will receive an invoice to be paid prior to your gallery being sent to you.
Preserve Your Memories — Download, Back Up, and Print Your Images
Your wedding and portrait photos are more than digital files; they’re memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Once your gallery is delivered, please remember to download and safely back up all of your images. We recommend:
- Saving your gallery to at least two different locations, such as your computer and a thumb drive or external hard drive.
- Storing a copy in cloud storage for added protection.
Technology changes quickly, and devices can fail, having multiple backups ensures your memories are safe for years to come.
And don’t let your favorite photos live on a screen! Printing your images brings them to life in a way digital files never can. We offer professional quality prints and heirloom albums that preserve your story beautifully and stand the test of time. More information can be found here.
Your story deserves to be seen, held, and shared - not just stored. We charge a fee of $50 to resend your photos, if we still have the images.
How far in advance should I schedule to get the date I want?
Reach our as soon as you know what time of year you want photos. Autumn dates fill up quickly, so the sooner the better! Otherwise, a month or two prior is great!
How long does a senior photo session usually last?
One hour is typical, but you can add more time.
How many outfit changes can I have?
As many as you want, as long as it fits within the timeframe scheduled. I do suggest 2 outfits.
Can I bring props (like sports gear, instruments, or pets)?
Yes, please! Highly encouraged!
Do I get digital images?
Yes, we are providing the digital images with a print release at this time.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You can order prints and other items through me, however I will give you a print release for images up to an 8x10.
Do you help with choosing locations?
Of course! We have our favorite locations, but would love to experience new places.

How long do I have access to my images?
As soon as you receive a link, please download your images and the print release. We can only store images 3-4 months.
What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
hey, we all feel that way sometimes. We will help you!
Can I get the RAW images?
We do not provide RAW files. A RAW file is essentially the untouched data straight from the camera sensor. It is a digital negative. It hasn’t had any color adjustments, lighting corrections, or artistic enhancements applied—meaning it doesn’t yet reflect the quality, emotion, and timeless style that Milestones Studios is known for.
How long does it take to get my photos back?
It can take up to 2 weeks
Do you retouch/edit blemishes?
Yes, it is included in the fee.
How much does a senior portrait session cost?
$225/hour
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad on my session day?
Just so you know, a cloudy day is a perfect day! However, if it is pouring down rain or snowing or even too windy, we can reschedule. sometimes, we can wait it out!
What if I need to reschedule?
No worries, life happens. Please give me at least 24 hours notice.
