This is our process:
I. Book the date.
To book your date please CONNECT WITH US. We can meet in person for a consultation or do everything via emails. Once we have all agreed we are a good fit for your special day, you will receive a contract to sign and questionnaire to fill out. If you are outside of Ada County Idaho and the surrounding areas, travel fees may apply. These fees are determined by your event details, such as location and times, mileage vs. flying. A non-refundable deposit of 25% will be due to hold your wedding date. We typically collect this at the engagement session.
II. Take photos.
For your wedding day, we will arrive a little beforehand to take a look at the venue and get familiar with the area. We will photograph all the details, as well as all of the important things we will have already discussed. If you are booking a wedding collection, your engagement session is complimentary and is either 30 minutes in duration or up to 60 minutes. For examples of what to wear to your photo session, please see Engagement Session Tips. If you are booking an engagement session on its own, the fee is $225 for up to 60 minutes of photography time. Please note: For the e- session we travel up to 15 miles from The Village in Meridian for no extra fees. All sessions are on location. We do not have a studio at this time. The best time of day is the hour before sunset. In the Boise area this time changes drastically throughout the year.
III. Deliver memories.
Expect to receive your wedding image gallery via digital download with a print release in 6-8 weeks after your wedding date. Additional items will take longer. This gallery is password protected. Payment must be paid in full prior to receiving your gallery and/or products.
Preserve Your Memories — Download, Back Up, and Print Your Images
Your wedding and portrait photos are more than digital files; they’re memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Once your gallery is delivered, please remember to download and safely back up all of your images. We recommend:
- Saving your gallery to at least two different locations, such as your computer and a thumb drive or external hard drive.
- Storing a copy in cloud storage for added protection.
Technology changes quickly, and devices can fail, having multiple backups ensures your memories are safe for years to come.
And don’t let your favorite photos live on a screen! Printing your images brings them to life in a way digital files never can. We offer professional quality prints and heirloom albums that preserve your story beautifully and stand the test of time. More information can be found here.
Your story deserves to be seen, held, and shared - not just stored. We charge a fee of $50 to resend your photos, if we still have the images.

Do you photograph destination weddings?
We can chat! These are on an event by event basis.
Will there be a second photographer?
We do not have a second photographer at this time. However, we have assistants to help clients through all photography posing and details.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Yes, you will need to be prepared for the extra fees incurred that day.
What kind of gear do you use?
I photograph with a Canon R6 and a Canon 5d MarkIII. My go-to lenses are 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8. I also love my 85 1.8. It depends on the event which lens I will use.
Do I get digital images?
Yes, we are providing the digital images with a print release at this time.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You can order prints and other items through me, however I will give you a print release for images up to an 8x10.
Do you photograph elopement and micro ceremonies?
We do! Local to the Treasure Valley, of course. This starts at $250/hr. Travel fees will be added if outside of the Treasure Valley.
How long do I have access to my images?
As soon as you receive a link, please download your images and the print release. We can only store images 3-4 months.
I hear you offer wedding planning and day of coordinator.
Our wedding planner/day of coordinator is Jenna. She is a certified wedding planner with Milestones Wedding Planning. We do have a bundling discount to save you money when you book more than one service with us. Contact us for more information.
I hear you offer hair and makeup services.
The Vanity has joined Milestones Studios, LLC. Jacey is a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Idaho only. She is here for all of your event beauty. We do have a bundling discount to save you money when you book more than one service with us. Contact us for more information.
Can I get the RAW images?
We do not provide RAW files. A RAW file is essentially the untouched data straight from the camera sensor. It is a digital negative. It hasn’t had any color adjustments, lighting corrections, or artistic enhancements applied—meaning it doesn’t yet reflect the quality, emotion, and timeless style that Milestones Studios is known for.
