When it is time to tell the world you are getting married, photo announcements are a great way to do it! Choosing Milestones Portraits for your engagement photography ensures that your special moments are captured with a professional touch. Amy specializes in creating timeless images that celebrate your unique love story.
Tip: When choosing the location for your engagement session, try to think of a place that means a lot to you.

Inquire about multiple locations
This is our process:
I. Book the date.
To book your date please CONNECT WITH US. We can book your session via emails. You will receive a questionnaire to fill out once a date, time, and location is agreed upon. We do not have a session fee. Our fee is all inclusive. We travel within 15 miles of The Village in Meridian without a travel fee. Please note: All sessions are on location. We do not have a studio at this time. The best time of day is the hour before sunset. In the Boise area this time changes drastically throughout the year.
II. Take photos.
If you are booking an engagement session with your wedding collection, this session could be complimentary. For examples of what to wear to your photo session, please see Engagement Session Tips. Most couple sessions are up to one hour in duration.
III. Deliver memories.
Expect to receive your image gallery via digital download with a print release within 2 weeks. This gallery is password protected. Your session must be paid in full prior to receiving your gallery.

It doesn't matter how long you have been together. Whether it has been decades, years, months, or weeks, if you are married, engaged, or dating, documenting the love you have for one another is something that will be cherished forever.
This photo session typically last 1 hour, you can add more time if needed. All images retouched. Images delivered via digital download with print release.
Preserve Your Memories — Download, Back Up, and Print Your Images
Your wedding and portrait photos are more than digital files; they’re memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Once your gallery is delivered, please remember to download and safely back up all of your images. We recommend:
- Saving your gallery to at least two different locations, such as your computer and a thumb drive or external hard drive.
- Storing a copy in cloud storage for added protection.
Technology changes quickly, and devices can fail, having multiple backups ensures your memories are safe for years to come.
And don’t let your favorite photos live on a screen! Printing your images brings them to life in a way digital files never can. We offer professional quality prints and heirloom albums that preserve your story beautifully and stand the test of time. More information can be found here.
Your story deserves to be seen, held, and shared - not just stored. We charge a fee of $50 to resend your photos, if we still have the images.
When should we schedule our engagement session?
Most couples book their engagement session 6–12 months before the wedding. This gives you plenty of time to use the photos for save-the-dates, invitations, or just to celebrate this exciting season.
Where can we take our engagement photos?
I’ll help you choose locations that fit your style — whether that’s a scenic outdoor spot, a cozy urban vibe, or a place that’s meaningful to your love story.
How long does the session last?
Engagement sessions typically last 60 minutes, which allows time for multiple outfits and locations.
Can we bring outfit changes?
Yes! Most couples bring 2 outfits — one dressy, one casual that feels like “you.”
Do I get digital images?
Yes, we are providing the digital images with a print release at this time.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You can order prints and other items through me, however I will give you a print release for images up to an 8x10.
Can we include props or pets in our photos?
Absolutely. Bring anything that represents your relationship — from champagne glasses to a favorite book to your furry best friend.
How long do I have access to my images?
As soon as you receive a link, please download your images and the print release. We can only store images 3-4 months.
What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
That’s completely normal! My job is to keep things easy, fun, and natural. I’ll guide you with simple prompts so you can relax, laugh, and focus on each other.

Can I get the RAW images?
We do not provide RAW files. A RAW file is essentially the untouched data straight from the camera sensor. It is a digital negative. It hasn’t had any color adjustments, lighting corrections, or artistic enhancements applied—meaning it doesn’t yet reflect the quality, emotion, and timeless style that Milestones Studios is known for.
How soon will we get our photos back?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks. You’ll receive a beautiful online gallery to download, share, and order prints.
Can we use our engagement photos for save-the-dates or décor at our wedding?
Yes! Many couples use their engagement photos for save-the-dates, wedding websites, guest books, and even wall art at the reception.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Don’t worry, If weather gets in the way, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. But remember, a cloudy day is a perfect day!
